What OS are you using and what Drivers are you referring to. CH us plug and play meaning you do not need a drivers disk its done by the OS.
-
vista home premium.
I like to use the control manager, that a program that comes with CH. seems like it calibrates the equipment better especially the pedals.
maybe drivers was wrong term. What happens they do not show up in game controllers and I have to replug them.

ok been playing around with it and this seems to be the required procedure now.
1: Upon computer restart ch products do not show in game controllers but does show in the CH control manager.
2: unplug ch products from computer
3: plug back in. CH products show in game controls. No need to recalibrate.
4: works fine until computer shut off then repeat process.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any power management on?
-
have 3 choices
balanced
energy saver
high performance 9Low savings)
set at balanced, is that ok?
-
If that is a desktop system...disable all power management.
The only thing you might consider would be to have the hard drives down after 1 hour, no screen savers, and monitor power off after 1 hour...all other power management features turned off.

You most likely didnt follow the proper procedure when installing the control manager.
Uninstall control manager and unplug all devices and then reboot.
Plug in your controls and make sure they are seen and work in control panel.
Install control manager and make sure it sees all devices.
Reboot and make susre everything still works.

I have Ch pedals and stick.
When I restart my computer I open the CH control manager and download the profile I have saved.
The process take about 15 seconds. It worked the same for Vista (when I had it) as it does for XP.
-
nope Challenge. I have followed the exact same sequence as you said all the other times. Tried again just to make sure and still doing same thing.
-
Are you doing this as Admin in Vista?
ack-ack

If UAC is still 'live' on your system kill it with this free app and never look back:

< didn't even bother installing CH software....

I started checking out retro sims like Red Baron/AOTP/AOE and in a DOSBOX the joysticks will not work right without CHCM or at least it made it easy enough for even me to figure out.

ok I downloaded latest control manager from ch website and all good now. had version 4.2 latest is 4.5. I think this cleared up a few other minor issues I had also.
thanks for the advice.
