often from beyond icon range, I can see an m3 on the ground because it shows up as a neon green square before I get inside 1.5k. Doesn't bother me at all, I enjoy killing them all the same but wondering if anyone else notices the same thing.
-
Yes and goons do the same thing. :D
-
how is this a bug?
all gv's have red neon signs above them and m3's are dirty men trying to take all my bases !! How dare they.

He says from OUTSIDE Icon range, means that the GV should be hidden. He also says a Neon Green square, meaning it would have to be a friendly, but he then says he enjoys killing them. Makes me read as if he sees the green square, knows its an enemy and gets the easy kill.
I would say, all counting im correct, that its a bug

I've noticed this with all GVs, but especially M3s, M16s, Jeeps and Flakkers/Panzers. It's possible to break GVs down into the following categories whilst well beyond icon range:
-M3/M16/Jeep
-Panzer/Flakker
-Other
Seeing as I fly the B-25 a lot of the time, this is actually quite unfair for my opponent :noid :airplane:
-
Not fair! I don't see them like that! How do I activate it?
-
I have been able to see M3s and goons from extremely long range but the angle has to be just right (with consideration to the sun as well).

I've always been able to see GV's well past icon range. You have to have every graphic slider turned all the way up. (I think anyway, mine always are) You can usually see a tiny speck moving along. Yes M3"s I see as neon too, sure makes it nice when searching for them.
Seeing the GV's from way out I don't think is a bug, it's dependent on your system and graphics capabilities. However the neon green part may be a slight miscalculation somewhere.
I'm sure an AH fella will come along and set the record straight at some point.
