Whats wrong with a more conventional three monitors?

We're not exactly sure what kind of horsepower the card's GPU will bring to the table
8 monitors with not much better than integrated graphics capability (apparently) ... for 2 grand .. Yikes!
I think I like the Eyefinity 6 prospects better:

Imagine that paired with 6x23in 1080p monitors from Sammy in the same vein as this 46 in ultra thin bezel puppy (http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/professional-displays/professional-displays/lcd/LH46MVTLBN/ZA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail) that is rumored due in December as is the Eyefinity 6 from ATI. Note the image of the Golden Gate bridge showing 4 monitors. (the second page of the PCPop chinese site translated shows a similar image)
Looking at the fan on the Matrox card is telling. ;)
