FBDred and I used to be the primary source for Knight missions in the game, when I left and then Dred, they apparently became a rarity. I posted a few last night and we had a really good response, so I plan to start posting some more missions and would like to invite you guys to join us in this endeavor.
Let's give the hoarde whiners something to talk about again :lol

I'd like to see more missions posted on knits, but decent ones ... frankly most of them atm are tosh.

:rofl :rofl :rofl

Bish and Rook will still easily counter your petty missions.

I thought KNIT mission's were just excuses for Tupperware parties......

Probably, but we're still going to post them. Posting those couple missions last night sure brought back some good times man, I missed upping in a huge formation like that, and judging from the response I got from the other knights, we all missed it.

We have missions all the time, we just dont broadcast them over country channel, We work with the FB's all the time, great bunch of guys. Our missions are always fun thats how we like it :aok
-
Me and Dred used to take turns posting them all night, it was a ball and we moved alot of real estate in the process. I'd love to see this kind of team work return.
<S> 68th We've always enjoyed flying with you guys!
-Twitchy
-
<S> same here Twitchy , We like to do a ground air combo when taking bases, seems to work real good, well have to get together one of these nights and do a few missions, we usually have anywhere from 10 to 24 Guys on during squad nites, see ya in the skies <S>

:old: I don't know about all that jazz. :airplane:

Well if nothing else, it makes for some great Screen Shots. :aok
We did a Lanc Mission one time back in AH1 in 2003 that had about thirty or forty pilots, when we dropped our eggs it bogged the server and discoed everybody lol. I've got a film of it somewhere, was a really neat looking formation.
-Twitchy
Is there any way to run old AH1 films on the new film viewer, I tried it and the program crashes. I reinstalled AH1 on an old system to see if I could save those films, but it must have been an old update after the films were taken but they wouldn't run on it either.
-
Are you serious? Rox and the other tin foil hat wearing Knights have been running missions for the last year or so. Join the lemmings if you must. Just more easy kills... thanks!

Hey Rogent, long time no vis <S>
The alliance missions back in the day were an awesome thing man, too bad the hoarde whiners didn't like them, it's probably why we got stuck with the ENY crap to begin with, but man they were a ball.

Oh I don't know about that. Seeing horde of RV-8s with 5 pound bombs might be pretty imtiminating for those horde whiners :airplane:

I try to make the best missions I can, but not so many are joining.
If anywon could give some tips, it would be greaT
:salute and Happy Veterans Day!

I say just start posting them, call them out on channel, and like anything else, don't expect alot at first. I think alot of players will base their decision to join a mission on the reputation of the mission poster, which improves with time. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but it will happen for you just stick with it. A couple good missions turn alot of heads.

ENY came years before the alliance... years...
:lol

Stang!!! How goes it?!
-
Oh did it? Funny, FBDred and I were working on Alliance plans back in AH1. You must have missed the briefings, probably a reason for that. ;)
-
Sounds like a good time. I look forward to seeing the 68's, FB's, Chawks, and all the other red-blooded Knight squads working towards a common goal. :aok

What Twitchy said, 68KO did alot of the Alliance Missions and they was always such great fun, would'nt surprise me to see 30 to 50 people join in and always good fights from them red guys to great battles lots of fun lol

Well, lets just say before the modern loud mouth kiddie alliance. The old from AH1 was a much more classy operation.

You mean missions like this. So how many knits does it take to capture a v base?
Capture failed at that time.
However, good luck with the missions. :salute

Some questions I'd like you to think about:
How many RED guys would you say there are in sector [13,10]?
If the Knights wanted to fight the rooks in that area, where else would they fight? That place would attract furballers, BnZ'ers and base capture men, how many of each were in that sector?
Does it really matter how many are in a mission?

It would only attract furballers if there is anyone in that bunch thatr fight. Generally that is where they fail.
-
The MOM missions were cool. "Were upping at XX oclock.Try and stop us" This sounds more like Were going to run horde missunz L33TZORS!!!! Seriously,I doubt any self respecting Muppet will fly with the horde. :lol

Point taken! You can add how many rooks were on the ground too. It really wasn't a mission I don't believe. At first only a few came over, then at one point it was only me screaming for help with a full dar bar. But help came. Turned into a good time for all. I had 9 kills in two werble sorties and much to my dismay only one in flight and that was a proxy on a goon. :rock
The other day however, there was an noe to a vbase and it included about 20 knights. LOL.
Frankly I really don't care. I'm glad people put up missions whether on dar or noe. As far as I'm concerned the more targets the better, the lower the alt the better, and the bigger the plane the better.

I bet you were called an alt-monkey, picking, BnZ n00b...

Nah! LOL, I haven't been called anything for a very long time. Besides, many knights and bish fly higher than I do. I do BnZ, pick, and even ho'd the other day. Often I fly into large dar bars where it looks very bad for me. I have some outstanding wingmen though. So most of the time I can get careless and just go for it.

Bah, hordes that big usually make those types of comments when you come in with alt on them.

Wingmen from my squad see me get in trouble and they call the others and tell them.... "hehe watch this" :D

Ha... but your far better than I. I just close me eyes and pull the trigger along with gritting my teeth. As parts are exorcised from my 38 I can hear my wingmen up high cackling with laughter. :D

If they do, they aren't sharing.
At that vbase they were coming in at 20k+. No matter to me. They tried to bnz me to death. I just dodged and weaved and most importantly dragged them over the field of werbles. hehe.

Far better? I wouldnt know about that. I slam my eyes shut and spray all the time. The safest place for a red guy to be is 200 off my 12. Couldnt hit em with a jug with the convergence set at 125-150-175 and 200 :lol

Without the "w" in whole, it appears you have leveled a rather clever double entendre upon us plebian knights. ;)
It is true though. The only time our squad is within icon range is to facilitate stealing each other's kills.
