I am not sure what it is but I dont think its a Mini-14 at least not a Ruger Mini-14 the Caliber of the magazine doesnt look right.  Not to mention the forward sight apature is angled foward the mini14 is not it maybe a Chinese nock off version, built to chamber soviet bloc ammo, but I am truly stumped good one.

I agree, i've played Day of Defeat a lot and that thing looks a lot like the Scoped Gewehr '43 the Germans have

Don't know it's name but the left part was made of wood and inserted into the rubber eye guard... hehhehehe
