Title: Nose art night mare

Hello,

I'm running Vista home addition. I have nose art 64X64, 256 8 bit at 5.05 kb. I am not able to upload it. I have it in squads folder and am starting AH as admin.

What do I need to do Skuzzy?

What error are you getting?

Does your computer have Vista on it?  Is the game installed in the "Program Files" folder?

The game is not installed in program files. And yes it is *(&^*%% Vista.

The game is not installed in program files. And yes it is *(&^*%% Vista. Is there any way you could upload the nose art Sir? I've been fighting with this for 4 months.

What error are you getting when you upload it?

If nothing seems to happen, then the nose art uploaded just fine.  I just have to review it before it becomes available to the rest of the squad.

I get nose art should be put in the squads folder under MEDIC341.bmp. It is there Skuzzy

So the file is located in "C:\HiTech Creations\Aces High\squads".

Do you have the option turned on to see the file name extensions?  Common error is for someone to add the ".bmp", when it is already there, but cannot be seen as Windows is hiding it from them.

Sorry Skuzzy it is called MEDIC341, no .bmp behind it. It is a bmp file, 256 8 bit,5.05 kb and 64X64. It is in HTC squads dir.
I've tried loading it with admin on and off, no go. I'll try shutting down fire walls and anti virus programs. I've changed my avatar to the nose art.If that doesn't work where should I go with this?

When you go offline, in the game, is the noseart on your plane?

The file has to have a ".bmp" extension.  If you saved the file without an extension, it will not upload, and it will not show on your plane either.

I sent my squads directory to you. Don't see off line either. It is a .bmp file

Have a look and see if it's correct.

The directory you sent me was full of JPEG files, not bitmaps (.BMP).  Those files did not come from us.

If you cannot see the file on the plane, offline, then the file is not in the right place, or it is the incorrect format.

If you are running Aces High from a desktop ICON, right click on the ICON and check the path of the executable to see where it is being loaded from.
