Title: KC Matrix Shot Tutorial
Post by: kculon on November 15, 2009, 07:00:00 PM
Hi Guys,
I made a 2 part tutorial explaining how I made my matrix shot in "More Fun with KC"
I hope you guys come up with some cool shots using this technique and I hope you find it useful.

Final Shot Rendered, I did some time remapping on this one, but the rotation is still a little long.

Looks pretty good. I have a few suggestions though.

How about letting the filmviewer run at like 10-20% speed (Maybe even slower) while doing the matrix stuff, then you can still see the bullits moving, just very slow.

Another thing I thoght about was, instead of using the scroller with your mouse, use the pan mode and num keyboard. That way it's gonna be faster and much smoother scrolling.

1) that would be a different type of shot, but a darn good idea.
2) I think this would be great for some one who doesn't have After Effects, with time remapping you can have the rotation any speed you want.

Thanks for the feedback and adding your ideas, I'll test them out.
