More data would be helpful.  We have no control over the Internet folks.

How about either Ping Plot (www.pingplotter.com) or tracert data?  Both would be good.  Use 206.16.60.38 for the data gathering.

Seems Level3 was particularly bad this weekend.  So if you see them in your path, all bets are off.

Just FYI Texican, your computer is always changing.  That is one thing that is always true about Windows.

I had disco problems with a new computer. ( win 7 64 ).  I bypassed my router ( which had no problems with the old computer ) and the disco issue has stopped.

Actually Adog, that last trace is most likely due to packet loss on the return trip to your computer.  I see Level3 in your path and that is definately going to be a source of problems with connections.  Level3 is the most oversold network in the U.S.

Many ISP's have been jumping to them as they are cheap.  hat is the reason things will suddenly change.  One day an ISP is using one ISP, then they switch to another one.  Or the routes change due to issues related to equipment problems.

I'll run some traces back to you and see if I can find out anything.
