Why are there two sound tabs with the same driver?
-
No idea is that a problem? never had any problems with it before? there are no conflicts.
-
If the DXDIAG output show two "Sound" tabs and they are the same device, then yes, it is a problem.
I need to see the rest of the DXDIAG output.
-
Ok i will send. I renamed the settings folder and then the game started working again. is that a permanent fix?
my phone seems to have died when talking with you. Sorry about that.
-
Ahh, that was you.
If you still have the old 'settings' folder available, I really wuold like to get a hold of the contents of that folder. Could you zip up the folder and email it to me?
-
I zipped and emailed the old settings folder and put the entire DXdiag report with it and emailed it to support@hitechcreations.com
Thanks for all you do.

I bet I do know why the 2 sound Tabs with the same driver. this computer also came with a sound blaster card that plugs into a PMCIA socket I believe it's called. It was to boost the sound when watching movies and such never used it though.
