Worth the buy? Yes or no?
-
The demo was good, I would buy it. You can't go wrong killing zombies.
-
I just played the demo and was kinda suprised at the ammount and detail of the gore, i felt like i was watchin zombieland again :x :x
-
I played the demo and the thing i like was the fear, not knowing what was around the corner, and that its relatively easy to kill the zombies with 1 or 2 shots, but at first I thought it was going to take a like 10 hits per zombie and starting off with a pistol and 30 zombies coming after me I thought I was dead, but I was wrong.

I would be able to give an opinon except the esteemed government of Australia believes that an R rating for games would be dangerous and so L4D2 was censored completely of all its gore and its relating physics. And yet GTA 4 and L4D1 with all gore and violent physics came in without a scratch BIA HH also escaped the clutches of the Australian censorship board.
:headscratch: :(

Absolutely, yes.

They have a Versus setup, no AI.
-
Do they have a wii version?
Resident Evil 4 for the wii was great..

I was a little upset when they announced L4D2, I thought it was too soon after the release of the original L4D to plunk down another $50.00 for a zombie shooter game. After playing through the demo a few times I really enjoyed it and want to pick up the full game despite myself.

The demo was fun, but im looking for a game similar in gameplay to Fallout 3. With the fully explorable world where i can pretty much do what i want.
-
You should try Farcry 1 and 2 then. Not the same RPG environment with quests and such, but vast open terrain.
-
L4D1 was great with countless hours of fun and L4D2 will have the same greatness. i will not be buying it though because i have been playing aces high too much. i did get bored if L4D1 so i suppose i can count the hours... Total Playtime: 217h 56m 33s Past 2 weeks: 0s.
on a tangent, borderlands sucks.

Just be advised the creators of this game ignored a LOT of issues with the first game and on the forums they have just stopped even talking. When the LFD2 game went into production, they blew off any attempts to fix LFD1. You can read the forums, make your own decision about it,but I was turned off about it rather quickly.

Take a look at Dragon Age Origins. Im not into games like that for the most part but this one got my attention.
-
I'm going to buy it for PC. I can't wait. I played the demo and it was great and I watched all the trailers and they all looked great. Can't wait to play it.

I always thought Stargate would have made an excellent MMO game..

It's rough around the edges, graphics are definitely dated and the combat animations leave something to be desired but the over all mechanics of the game are pretty good. It's probably the closest thing to a sandbox MMO since pre-CU Star Wars Galaxies and considering Icarus Studios is an independent studio, it's a pretty good effort for their first MMO. It's also PvP and Faction vs. Player, PvP is clunky due to the poor combat animations but still fun. Think there is a free trial, it's definitely a niche sort of game.

Too bad the studio making it is close to going bottoms up.

L4D2 - bought it, should have saved my money, if you played the demo, you played L4D2. What amazes me is how succesful it is. L4D2 advertising budget is in the excess of $25 mil .
Fallen Earth - Big fan of fallout series, but Fallen Earth sucks. NPC with 1ft stick in his hand, scores hits on me 10 ft away. :joystick:

L4D2-few problems
1.Screen locks up dont know why
2.very laggy at times
3.ppl abuse the voip
yet i have a great i mean great PC and i get the screenlocks up its random at times so this is a no buy for me,
-
Haven't bought L4D2 merely because of the lack of bank funds. However, I played L4D1 quite a bit. If you have a bunch of friends who have the game, the gameplay is 10x better. Random pub teams are 95% fail.

Yep. Cures 99% of the stutters in L4D.
