Can't figure this one out. Happens about half the time. I login and spawn out in a plane. My throttle is at 100% but I'm barely moving. I drop the throttle to 0 and then back to 100% and then the plane starts moving normally. Every sortie after that it doesn't happen.
it also happens when I change arenas. Weird thing is it doesn't happen on every login, and the times it does happen I get the feeling that my plane isn't as fast as it should be. Though that's probably just in my head.
I have a CH throttle to a powered USB hub if that means anything.
Anyone else see this?
-
Yes, I have noticed this. If you set your throttle to full, and your RPM to full, my RPM is the left wheel on my fighter stick, and then up any spitfire.
Watch the power and RPM levers. To bring them to the full forward position, all you have to do is depress any button on the throttle or stick respectively. I have tried this with a powered USB hub, using the computers USB ports, a PCI-E USB 2.0 card, reflashing the bios, I have not
tried it using only the Windows calibration tool, I use CH control Manager, and still get the same results. This only happens when you first launch the game, ie. double click the AH icon, I have Windows XP OS. Thought it was just my computer doing this. Weired....

And here I thought that I was the only one this happens to. X52 same thing no SST software
-
Yes I have this issue too,X52 no software used.
It isnt new for me tho seems it's been like that for some time never thought it was a big deal as a simple closing and opening throttle seems to fix it.
Like Shiv says it doesnt happen every time or at every arena change just sorta random happenings.
:salute

Ya same here i just hit the WEP button and all is normal

When u first log into the game and up for the first time, the game doesn't know the position of the throttle until u move it. Once u move it, it knows. Been like that for many years.

So simple. Thanks Dogg.

Try applying your brakes? :old:
I used to have a problem where the brakes were on. :O
Found it when I had this happen and looked at the control map.
Brakes were all the way on for some reason when I first logged on.
Apply brakes once and that usually releases em and the plane takes off. :x :bolt:

Just move all your control axes before you launch the first flight. :old:

It does happen. I am moving this to the bug section.
-
Since installing a powered hub I have not had this happen.
-
Hmmm.......
I tried pitting in a powered hub and the comp didn't see the controls??????

I had the same rpm problem early on with the X52 and with the rpm programmed via AH to the slider on the side of the throttle. When it occurs, I've discovered that recalibrating the analog rpm solved the problem. Also, when the stick needs to be re calibrated, I also have to recalibrate the rpm. If not done, the rpm won't come up very much for takeoff; usually just enough to taxi with. :salute

If you calibrate at all you should calibrate everything.
