Any chance of posting the results here for us unregistered walk-ons to see them as well?

To the Community at Large:
I have been working on a program that looks at logs across several frames and pumps out meaningful data useful for analysis and action...
In addition to consuming and crunching data...it also produces BBS code for easy pasting...
Do not assume anything from the following sample...as the rule filters are not fully developed...
This program when sufficiently refined will be given to the community as open source, and the CM's as a compiled application to ease their workload...
Regards
Oneway

I should point out that this is not official buts should be fairly accurate....

Destroyed 2323 Diso'd 47 | Destroyed 1338 Disco'd 38
IMHO these numbers are way too high for a 4 frame scenario and somebody has to work on server's stability..... or the frustration kicked in ?? :noid :bolt:
-
Thats only 1 disco per some 18-24 player hours....not bad in my book.

yes but half if not more happened in the last frame alone. i noticed when going throught the logs for frame 4 that it seemed all of the squads except for a few had at least one disco...

The disco total should not be interpreted with such a broad brush...
Among the others things that my program will look at is the "preponderance" of discos per certain/individual players...and then cast a median or mean...
In other words, data indicates that certain players experience discos far above the mean...in analyzing server performance for an event, it would be incumbent on us to wash out these players and track the other players remaining...
I would be far more concerned if all of those discos were single events for single players...but that is far from the case.
Data indicates the servers are stable, and a minority of players routinely have issues with discos...
This could be there own hardware/connections/systems...
Interestingly it provides us with a list of players who do have routine problems, and that might be helpful for techs like Skuzzy to look for corrallary circumstances in an effort to
help those players...
Another flag to set in log/data analysis is a cascade event of discos...where a ton of players get the boot in a short or nearly instantaneous time frame...and that might indicate some sort of breakdown on the backbone of the net at a hub or switch...
There is no statistical aberration regarding disco's for Red Storm Krupp Steel

Major tactical and strategic victory for the Soviets.....
The final score without any penalties is:
Tactical Victory Points = 978
Strategic Victory Points = 550
For penalties, the scenario CM's decided on 3 points per hit violation and 5 points per life violation, applied to both Tactical and Strategic scoring to get the following. Note, if you don't agree with this judgement on what the penalty points should have been, please feel free to apply what you think is correct, calculate the resulting score, and have that be how you judge it.
Tactical Victory Points = 978 - 4 * 3 - 4 * 5 = 946
Strategic Victory Points = 550 - 4 * 3 - 4 * 5 = 518
Final result is a Major Soviet Tactical and Strategic Victory.
This was a hard-fought battle on both sides, and I thank all players for participating. More important than the score is how each of you fought -- and that was done with much gusto, I can tell you from direct experience! <S>, all! salute Thumbs UP!
