To Hitech Support team:

I have encountered a minor bug when I log in today, only to find that the client crash when I launch the programme.

General information
O/S:Window Vista
DirectX:Lastest Update
Description:Both the AH2 client and AH2 film viewer crash when the Headphone is not inserted into the back plate of the unit. Looking forwards to hear from you.

AH won't run if it cannot detect a sound card or some sort of sound device.

I'm guessing your headset is USB?

That would mean when it's disconnected from the computer, AH is not detecting a sound device, and cannot function properly.

Just an educated guess...
