If you give the Yak-9T an option to fly an attack mission, then you are basically allowing it to fly as a ground assault weapon. This is something the plane was really not meant for, because the cannon was primarily for air-to-air use. Yak-9Ts did fly ground attack from time to time, but it was considered 'irregular'. I don't mean to burst any bubbles, but the VVS used the Yak-9T as an air-to-air fighter, usually mixed with Yak-9D/M regiments.
Incidently, the VVS used the P-39s in the very same fashion as the Yak-9Ts.

well, we're not currently going with that realistic game either that Yak-9T would have reason to not have attack mode/option/whatever
so, go on and let it have it..
