Can someone point me to a link or a book with a good, detailed schematic or interior drawings of a the R2800? I've got plenty of external views, but no good "unclothed"--err exposed pics. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Thanks!

Book I dont know about yet, but when i was in Pensacola at the Naval Air Museum their was a static display of one with a cut away. Truly a massive beast. I had pictures of it, but as I told you before they didnt come out.

I'll take that R2800 cutaway display and raise you a working one on a dyno, plus a cutaway Wasp Major.

I'll scan some stuff next time I have the scanner set up.
Here's a good book (http://www.sae.org/servlets/productDetail?PROD_TYP=BOOK&PROD_CD=R-154) to get if you want to learn about the R-2800 and its contemporaries. It's full of cutaways, photos, and engineering drawings. You can probably find a cheaper copy through Advanced Book Exchange (http://www.abebooks.com).
