After dressing a deer in west texas it weighed in well over 200lbs, sucker was huge. Saw a rack that a game warden had in the bed of his truck that cleared the sides by several inches. We didnt measure the width but it was a B&C record easy. The warden caught some poachers right after they had caped it out. Shame those punks did that cause it never saw the record books. I'm sure every state has an area known for raising monsters but far west texas has some of the largest ive seen.

Always one isnt there?
Out in Prarie country even a .300 win mag can feel like a BB gun. Deer and 'Lope only have to be shot at once before they figure out 1,000 yrds is a good starting point in distance.
Ive had hundreds of belly crawl stalks, trying to get to 350 yrds, defeated by critters with high powered eye sight. Out in the praire a HP scoped rifle isnt a luxury as much as its a necessity. Hunting heavy wood with BP is easy compared to stalking 'lope and Mulies in the sage.

Looks like a very small buck in every way compared to what we have down here in the Black Belt of Alabama where I hunt. Typically find most bucks at or over 200 lbs field dressed and most average 8 point deer are up over 150 on the Boone and Crockett points system. Still though that is a nice clean rack on the deer and looks very symmetrical with its points and brow tines.
