Title: Surprised!
Post by: SWrokit on December 01, 2009, 08:34:39 PM
That I saw nothing posted in here regarding the 4 officers killed in the Seattle area.

Salute to the families left behind, to those that lost their lives in the line of duty, and to those badges still in the trenches.

20 + year vet, now retired (thank goodness).

Some are good, some are bad, but WTF would we be without a badge nearby?

There is no excuse for what happened.  Cop killing is glorified and the media feeds us non-important stuff.  I hope as a society we do not lose the respect of rule-of-law.

We lost 4 brave men to a senseless killing. The perp was released by mr. Huckabee off a 95 year sentence. WTF... I hope when they catch him the fine officers that arrest him has a 12 round accidental burst from their side arms.

<S> to the families and to the 4 fine officers lost.

We lost 3 men and a woman to that shooting. A fourth Officer faced him alone after almost being ambushed himself and took care of the problem.

Huckabee is not the problem. He gets a lot of the blame but this hemorrhoid was in and out of jail for felonies after Huckabee commuted his sentence, several years ago. The WA. judicial "system" allowed the guy to bond out with only a $150k bond for agg assault on an Officer and CHILD RAPE. I fault the judge who allowed him bond far more than Huckabee. IMO the judge should be under review as well as the prosecutors who are charged as much as the Police with responsibility for public safety.

The hemorrhoid was not insane, he planned it and announced his plan before carrying it out. He should never have been out of jail, especially after he was also psych evalled that he was a danger to authority, not to the general public as well as the charges he had pending coupled with his conviction and arrest history.

The "system" let 4 Officers and their families down.

What remains now is to see how the system treats those who aided and abetted his crime, the ones who drove the get away vehicle, sheltered, treated, funded him and misled the Police in apprehending the hemorrhoid.

To my fellow Brothers and Sister, RIP.  :saluteMy thoughts and prayers for your families. :(

To late bro

AWW  BP, I know you don't believe all have lost repect.  It may seem like at times, but there's many who appreciate, and repect, the sight of a badge.  Although, from a badges point of view, it's tough not to fall into "Everyone" has lost respect when we deal primarily with Bad Guys and Gals.  It's a constant battle not to become "Bias".  But then every once in a while you get that unexpected pat on the back, whether it's saving someone's life, or just helping someone change their tire, that helps reafirm there are indeed good people out there.

I hate that the news repeatedly mentioned that the crazy guy thought he was Jesus or something to that effect. Now all the ignorant people are gonna think this is what religion does to people. Dam news reporters!

Is it any different than another who would stifle a person's right to free speech because that individual is religous.  Opinions.....dime a dozen....but everyone has the right to em, may or may not like em, but that there is what's called "Freedom of Speech".

The respect for law will only be retrieved when we as a society begin to hold people accountable again...truly accountable.  I believe it was Kant who said, "For those that rely only on animalistic behavior for a means of survival, animalistic accommodations should await them.  Others who, in time, decide for themselves which behavior to replicate will certainly not choose animalism towards other members of society for the accommodations aren't comfortable by any means.  Human animals, like nature's animals cannot change pray-tell but for small moments of time".

Crimes against officers of the law are the worst kind.  If someone would kill a police officer, they would most certainly kill you or I.  These types of violent crimes should be moved up on the dockets to be tried "yesterday" and appeals should be done within 30 days....after that, payback with a medivac.

Hang um high, hell, hang um twice...and hang them fast and let the entire country watch on CNN.  Eventually, people who think about committing murder will move on to painting-by-numbers.

Changeup you made a good point start televising the executions. To hell with the rights of the perps, they did something hanious against society, so they lose all right's.
Now don't get me wrong but with a crime like this one you forfeit your rights to appeal and you get moved to the front of the line. Ohh and I feel they endure what they dished out, aka they shoot someone they get shot.

A song says it all

"No chance, that's what you got. No chance in hell"
