Dad was in a hurry to get home last weekend because he had to clear a plane, I had all my stuff at my cousin's house (including PC and all support devices) and never had a chance to get em. Dosen't look like we'll be going back again this weekend, parents seem like they could care less about going even though my stuff is still there and they know that's what I do in a large pt of my free time... Looks like I may not be able to get back on AH for as much as 3.5 weeks...
-
Yeah that does suck

Well, enjoy the outdoors a little! :)

You were missing one very important factor: I live in Mississippi... there's nothin to do here, lol. Hunting season just went from all to primitive weapon too, so I can't do that for another 2 or 3 weeks... lol
-
Well you didn't say you live in Mississippi. Go to N'awlins for 2 weeks. Lots to do there. :devil
-
There's always the one toy.
-
But it SMELLS like a toilet! lol, only been there once, that was early this summer or somethin, mom went down to do some business, we walked around and then went to a hotel, I brought some binocs and an uber-flashlight, we saw some pretty crude stuff, guys peein and crappin in a back alley, hookery lookin people,etc... That flashlight scared the heck outta some of em :D the big NO just dosen't rly seem like the place for me, either
-
Are you old enough for Bourbon Street? I was born and raised in N.O. and love da French Quarter. Lots to do during daylight hours too. I must be :old:
-
I walked down it in the afternoon, it didn't rly look like all that much fun tho, some of the store I remember are : Lady (whatshernames) house of voodoo, that stripclub :devil (only saw the sign and hot babe outside) , the checkered parrot (WORST PLACE EVER to eat, NEVER go there) , place that sells absynth or however you spell it, and a store full of gift crap, lol
-
If you like antique shops you could spend a good part of a day on Royal St.( 2 blocks over from Bourbon ) or the French Market. St. Louis cathedral in Jackson Square is a nice tour also. Just tryin to help you from being bored to death for awhile.... :bolt:
-
haha, if I could get my parents to take me there, maybe it'd be worth it if I get some stuff from you to do :) although deep sea fishin would HAVE to be in there somewhere
-
Well, there is an awesome aquarium right off Lee Circle just down from the Quarters. Got I-Max right next to that.
-
is that the one that take up the side of a whole street or somethin?
-
Why don't you just pony up the $10 - $20 and have whoever has your gear ship it to you... Even the US Postal service would get it to you faster then 3.5 weeks...
-
No no, it's right on the river front. Find the River Walk Mall and go towards the bridge. Can't miss it.

1: they only live 50 mi away...
2: it cost me $50 to have JUST that case shipped after I got it on ebay

Of course when I was too young to get into anyplace in the Quarters we had football, baseball, our bikes, chasing girls and in case of rain, Atari was always cool.

I have a neighborhood full of old people :huh nearest kid to me is about 1mi away and it's a girl, lol

Note that I did say "chasing girls" was on the list. And I don't mean running after them for no reason :devil
Either way it goes good luck with it. I'm going to Snapshots :salute

Sounds like divine providence. Plenty of time for AH when you are an old geezer (you know, over 25).

I bet the OP would think you are ready for "Soylent Green" at your advanced age.
I'm 43 - and a half! :P Coincidentally that's also both my 1982 SAT score and my checking account balance.
There's a correlation in those numbers but to explain it better, I'd need charts and graphs and an easel.

With a stick!
-
Nuts man, if you can't go hunting go fishing. There should be some decent places somewhere around you. :headscratch:

nah, her boyfriend lives not TOO much farther away, about another mile or so, but every time I've ever tried to do somethin with HIM on the weekends he was always gone with other guys or somethin, lol
-
Use your imagination kid, plenty of things to do outside of AH.
I take it your parents never tell you "dont get into trouble, just be home by dinner" :lol
-
You could try taking up jogging and martial arts and lose those unwanted 10 pounds before January.
