Emo is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as "emotional hardcore" or "emocore" and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace. My Ex girlfriends Daughter is Emo, 4.0 GPA, Presidentual gold last two years for grades, shes a junior, they dress kinda punk some have different haircolors, some Emo's are way off the deep end with it, IE they cut themselfs other dumb crap like that, My Ex's Daughter and i are still very close, shes a great kid planning on going into mechanical engineering, we talk about this Subject alot, she likes the music and the look.
