Deer Park just east of Houston. It is snowing pretty heavy.
Please increase your carbon footprint. Save us........................
Last year I had 6 inches in my yard. Extremely rare down here.
For those that do not know..... Deer Park is where the San Jacinto Monument is...... where we defeated Gen. Santa Anna.
-
Don't eat the yellow stuff Shuff....
-
Yep I hope we get some more up here in N. Texas we got like 2 in. a few days ago but, it melted right away. It's pretty cold though it was about 23 degrees earlier this morning.
-
Sitting here staring out my window in downtown Houston watching it come down. Global warming is AWESOME!!

Definitely something wrong with seeing palm trees and snow in the same shot. :)
-
lol we have to leave those supports on the palm for about 6 more months. They have been in for over a year now.

Me and Shuffler took him out together. That is why there was no Santa in AH on Christmas Eve last year. We feed on the whines. :bolt:

I think perhaps i'll put some lights on my camaro, and register it as antique(no nj inspection that way), and drive it for a bit.

-
LOL shuf, good to see ya getting some of the white stuff,we had our first 3 weeks ago and they're calling for up to 15 inches over the next 2 days.
Lastnite it was so cold we had to bring the lead dog into the igloo to help warm the place up.
When it gets real cold,a 3 dog nite,we're real glad we still use dogsled up here in the Great White North....... :devil
:salute

Now see what sense does this make. Shuffler's down near Houston getting snow, and us fine people in VA have yet to see any. It's ok, we're supposed to get it tonight or tomorrow night hopefully. This will be the first year that Max, our Siberian Husky has seen snow, I can't wait for that.
-
Nothing in San Antonio or Bandera where we are. It's just cold.
-
We got some pretty good snow in San Angelo TX last night as well. I had to walk to class in the crap. :x
-
we're supposed to getr some here in south jersey tomorrow night
-
You can have the white stuff, sir. :neener: I moved to sunny FL 19 yrs ago. No more shoveling for me. Well, until global warming strikes here too. :salute
-
What happens when Global Warming reaches AH? Gee, we'd better get our Anti-Ice wishes ready.

I know your joking, but that's the ridiculous thing about some global warming advocates
Warmer = Global Warming
Cooler = Global Warming
More snow = Global Warming
Less snow = Global Warming
More hurricanes = Global Warming
Less hurricanes = Global Warming
More tornadoes = Global Warming
Less tornadoes = Global Warming
Flooding = Global Warming
Drought = Global Warming
Species dying out = Global Warming
Species proliferating = Global Warming
Sigh.....
I miss the good old days before global warming, when weather was blamed on El Nino

FUnny thing is, that they REALLY DO try to say exactly what you've typed above.
SCARY thing is, that it appears as if hardly anyone notices this........

I blame the lack of noticing on Global Warming.

It was 2003 ( i live in PA we got the same storm ) We had a drift in my driveway ( its about 1/4mi long ) that was about 10ft high. Same storm covered my wifes Mazda MX3 completely... i mean it was gone. The only thing showing was the radio antenna.

We got a small flurry, and in class, every time I'd go outside to check it out, it'd quit. I was so pissed by the time it quit snowing up in Georgetown.
-
We are supposed to get somewhere between 1" and 6" here in the Birmingham, AL starting early AM and going through mid morning. If it is anything like this past March 1st whatever we get will be gone by 11am-1pm since the high temp tomorrow is supposed to be 40 or so.
-
Only knee deep up here fellas! :aok
-
weird.
First time ever that Toronto did NOT get snow in November.
And they've been keeping records for 150 years. which is 0.0000000000001% of world history.
-
Forecast for the whole winter,80-85 degrees 0% chance of snow.

Snow over and done by 11:30p.m. and was only .25 in. Be melted and gone by mid-morn. Coulda swore I live in south La. for da WARM weather... :headscratch:
-
Embrace your snow! Those of us stuck in the tropics would DIE to have some powder... or at least a temperature below 70 degrees!

Well you should go to North-West NC to see the snow!
-
it's snowing off n on here in south jersey. nt even sticking to the parked cars though.....
-
We got about a half inch between 1am and daylight this morning and by 10am 99% of it was gone. Still a cold and windy day down here with highs in the upper 30's with humidity and all that bringing it down into the upper 20's for us who go outside a lot on deer hunting days...I didn't get to go today though but this morning would have been AWESOME being in the woods with deer looking around through the little bit of snow on the ground.
-
Finally got some snow today... we'll see how long it lasts. Only rain last year
-
Snowing here also, 3" in Allentown PA and counting.
-
I'm glad Kansas City hasn't gotten any snow yet. People up here drive stupid in the snow, and our school district feels that six inches of snow on the roads at 6 in the morning is not nearly enough snow to warrant canceling school. In fact, if a giant meteor was on a collision course with Earth, we would still have school. Besides, the snow we get is the loose powdery stuff. Bad for sledding, snowballs, snowmen, and igloos. Only thing it is good for is hot cocoa inside. :furious

you oughtta see people in new jersey. second only to philly drivers where stupidity is concerned(me and the ex wife used to argue about that a LOT).
-
Been getting a real cold east wind.Looks like my boat might be getting snowed on off the coast of Oregon tomorrow night.
Snow in the ocean is cool! :) But the drivers are insane!!!

Bring it on here in Utah,

We just started to get sleet. Cold and wet in North Kansas City. Ugh.
-
It was a low of 50 today. It's been the coldest it's been all year :)
-
Just got a light dusting that covered the green grass. Not typical for green grass and no snow for this time of year up here in this part of Canada. Must the that climate change we all hear about.
-
Wish we would get snow in S. Georgia. I really miss the snow from when I lived in NY.

Shuff, We were there when it snowed on Christmas Eve a few years back. TxDad was deployed... was just me & the kids at his folks house. I woke them up, even though it was almost midnight. :) Was pretty awesome.

global warming and all................ :O :noid :noid
-
its gonna be 70 here in wisconsin to, just not tomorrow... :)
-
Betty, sounds like you got things covered up there for stores. Stay warm up there this winter. I had to beat it out of Evart this past summer. 10 years of those winters was enough. That old farm house just can't hold the heat. Post some good pics. of the snow. Pics. only please, you can keep the snow.
-
3 inches of snow, and 25-35 mph winds have cause KC schools to go into shutdown mode. First snow day in two years. :x So, who wants a snowball fight?!
-
I just wish you would keep your miserable weather and not send it north.
-
Just to put the bit- ching in perspective.... we're all on water-restrictions and running out of water down here.
It's not pretty.
Summer is just starting in this part of the world, too.
Spare a thought for those who truly are experiencing the warmer side of 'global warming'.
It may well not be 'hot' for 'ya'll' over there... but it's hot and dry as a bone down here.
-
its gonna be 70 here in wisconsin to, just not tomorrow... :)
actually, i was being sarcastic.....it rained last night, raising the temp a little. it's about 50f out there right now, and dropping.
-
might be time to get my beater 87 ranger 4 wheel drive out..snow and wind and more snow and more wind
-
Hey shuffler just take that lazer beam you got inside and point it up at the sky. I bet you could heat the whole place up in about 5 min. :x :x
Shufflers got the biggest lazer in the U.S sitting inside the building.
-
well we had alittle snow 3 days ago about an inch after that temp went to 5 and its been averaging 2 to 5 during the day, down to minus 12 at night, lol only thing keeping me warm is looking at my wakeboard boat wishing for summer lol
-
Shufflers got the biggest lazer in the U.S sitting inside the building.
lol Most powerful of its size in the state of Texas. There is another up in Oklahoma.
-

Very Nice Shuffler , I use a Flow waterjet 60,000 PSI . But we also have a Trumpf 3180 Press Brake . I went to Conn to go to the classes there , Trumpf has nice people working there. With 6 Kw you could thaw some things for sure .

Its 6am Saturday and im watching the weather. I think your snow blower will be justified. Southern Jersey thru the Poconos in PA is going to get slammed. Some are comparing it to the 1996 storm. They are calling for a foot to 20"
I put the plow on the truck last night, and while doing so, lost a very important cotter pin. Needless to say after about 30 minutes of panic, a couple..........well alot , of 4 letter words and a thrown wrench or two, i realized i put it in my pocket. I proudly accept the dumbazz award!!
Well, off to change the oil in the 4 wheelers and fire up the snowmobiles :x
Wifee gonna be baking Xmas cookies and making homemade fudge all day. I dont think it gets any better than this!!!
Safe travels everyone.

We're going to get hit late Saturday night. Not looking forward to working tonight. Any type of precipitation brings out the crazies.

yep. 8.30 right now, and it's kinda weird. in my neighborhood, only 8 miles from my shop, there's only an inch or 2 so far. at the shop, i'm seeing from four to six in the parking lot.
visibility is less than 1/4 mile on the freeway, and pretty much everywhere. there's been salt trucks out, but i've yet to see a single govt. agency with a plow touching blacktop.
wasn't the 96 storm somewhere around 3 feet?
i did that once or twice when i used to plow. after a couple of times, i got into the habit of always mounting the plow at the mere mention of snow. no panic hooking it up through bleary eyes in the little hours of the morning that way.
careful out there.

One storm in my hometown a year and a half ago. Almost all this snow fell in a matter of days. And it happens at least once a year.

just heard on b101......ours is supposed to continue into tomorrow.
funny thing.....we aren't grinding to a halt, although i did have a guy in front of me on the way here that was afraid to go over 10mph. i think this makes him as dangerous as the guys that think they can do 50 mph in this stuff. mostly because driving THAT slow means he's afraid, and has 0 confidence....and will be guaranteed to be making a mistake
