I think it is wrong. If I am not misstaking, HTC has modelled the flap speed of the 109's we have like the flap speed the Bf109 E had with full flaps Extended. I have the manual for the E version, together with the RAF evalutaion of the E-4 (captured plane). Max permited speed with flaps fully deployed was 250Km/h that is 156.25Mp/h. I don't know the speed for 1 notch though :(
Now, the 109 G2 manual (together with a few other 109 manuals) can be found on www.bf109.com. (http://www.bf109.com.) Download the 109 G2 manual and scroll to where you find max speed with 1 notch of flap. The max speed shows up to be 350Km/h, that is 218.75Mp/h. 109 speed in AH for 1 notch flap is about 170Mph so the difference is nearly 50Mp/h.
This can make a huge difference in a dogfight, specially since you're usually never slow enough to get 1 notch out.
HTC, please look into it.
190 SEEMS to be wrong aswell but since I don't have a manual for the 190 I can't prove it... yet. So please, if anyone have info on 190 flap speed etc could you post it or send link? :)
Thanks.

I only have the Ta152 manual.

Pyro or HT now would be a good time to say:
"We will look into it". :)
-
Perhaps it would also be a good time to say "are you trying to get banned to?"...

LOL
Some people are so fediddlein humorless these days....

It's not the full Emil manual, one part is with the figures and text written during the war by the RAF test pilots, there is a german document in it (translated) about the 109 T (basicly an E with tailhook), there are allso some techincal notes about the G2 but just a few pages. Allso, an interesting thing is that the RAF compare the E4 with the Spit Mk1 and the results are in the book, roll speed etc.
The test results were written in English, the manual have been translated to English so it's all in English.
There is a web address on the back of the book.
www.crecy.co.uk (http://www.crecy.co.uk)
Seeker, got the K4 manual in Book or digital?
I know the digital can be found at bf109.com aswell but my german is rusty :(

Wohow! Thanks Wells :)

Wilbus, Digital (pdf is adobe acrobat's file format).
I've got what looks to be a full pilot's manual in German (which I can't read!) in the K4, and a guide to cockpit layout in English.
I've also got the Ta 152 manual (German), the Me 262 manual (English, written in America from captured test machines post war, I think) and the Tempest manual (English).
All digital (pdf).
Want them?
(BTW; the "T" had more than just tail hook changes. I think it had wing profile and span changes to to "navalise" it, which would be significant in this discusion of stall/flap speeds)

The 109 K4 Manual can be found at www.bf109.com (http://www.bf109.com)
go to "manuals" area :)

Wow, if they fix that then the 109s will very good. Same with the 190s (if the speeds are indeed incorrect)... as is, the 109F's single notch of flaps can be the dif between you going down or the other guy... and since it's such a slow plane already it's fairly easy to slow it down to get that notch of flaps out.
Sure hope the 109's flaps get fixed for 1.09. Can't be too hard, should be a hard coded number... (I'd think)

Cc Swulfe, 109 F as you mentioned turns well allready, with a notch of flaps it would be even more leathel, specially since it is actually slightly faster then the Spit 9 too.
Trying to find info about the 190 flap speed, let me know if you find something :)
-
I'll take a look in my books when I get home, hope I find something that indicates the 190's flap speeds.
I believe I read elsewhere that atleast one notch of flaps could extend at a relatively high speed (above 175MPH is high to me), I'll see if I can dig it up.
