This is an Implacable class carrier, either the class leader or the HMS Indefatigable.

Looks like Japanese Carrier TAIHO to me.

I believe that you are correct. I pulled out an old Janes Fighting Ships and this shows the differences, although slight in many respects. Here's the Indefatigable (not from Janes).

the navigation isle is the key. my initial thought was an ark royal class cv... til i stumbled over that japanese one o´course. greets, jan.
