I took a P51 up today, I had alot of fun.

Taking out an F4U-1C.

 It's been quite some time since I've last flown...

 .. is it me, or did they enhance the hit sprites a bit? Doesn't seem to be that ugly white glob any more. Heh..

 (although it still looks a lot behind the times.. when would HTC bring in dynamic lighting or pixel shading to the tracers and gun flares? heehee)

The hit sprites on the Hvy F4U1D look like they are on the wrong side from that angle?

Hit sprites show through any model I believe.

They did a while back. Go off line, change it to night, get on the runway, F3, fire your guys. You will see the side and or wing light up as you fire your guns.

You need to be a main arena subscriber in order to do so, once in you get access to more features in the offline mode!

Not sure if this still works at all, but it certainly doesn't if you have self shadow on.
