Skuzzy or any savvy comp guy,
Ok I have a single NVidea 9800 gtx + right now. What I was thinking of doing was upgrading my ram and going with the sli'd vid cards, is this an option you would reccomend.
BTW right now I am running at 50-56 frame rate with everything turned up to max. But when I get into furball it seems to drop to 30-35 fps. I'm hoping to see a difference.

If you are dropping that low in frame rate with that video card, I would be interested in seeing the DXDIAG output.
You really want to avoid SLI as much as possible as the profile NVidia foists on everyone for Aces High disables vertical sync and will cause all manner of graphic tearing in the screen output.

Ok I will post 1 as soon as I get home. But the first thing I will do is. Upgrade my ram first and go from there.

I have that EXACT processor, video card, 4 GB DDR3 ram.. and also run Win7 64bit.
With 1024 Textures (and hi-res pack installed), all sliders maxed, all advanced options on except self-shadowing, 1680X1050 resolution, and the AA slider set to FULL.. I almost NEVER see the FR dip below 55.. maybe in the heat of a lot of action with flames and smoke nearby I MIGHT see 48FPS.
This is also with AVAST and TrackIR5 running... and with a USB sound device (surround sound headphones). It's also a fresh install of WIN7 without any bloatware...
OK.. 43 processes right now.. wow!
Anyways... just to give you something to compare yours to...

question for skuzzy here notice on ebfd11's page file is around 1100, which is about the same as mine also using win7, I only run about 35 processes. is that pretty much the same on all win7 64 bits? I am used to seeing only 200-400 with winxp.

I do not have any first hand experience with the 64 bit version of W7. It will, logically, use more memory than the 32 bit version would. It definately would use more memory than XP would.

Well skuzzy I did the sli plus the upgraded memory.. I also did followed your instructions about the AA and I have every checked with smooth shadowing at max. WOW!!!!!! What eye candy there is, ohh btw maxed out at 60 fps even at furball lake in DA.
I also did a bios check the only thing I had to do was turn iup my cooling fan to 85%. Other than that I'm running at 34• C

I'm gonna SLI some BFG 8800 GTX OC2s later this month. I was wondering if anyone had a URL for a WIN7 64-process optimization list. I think I'm running something like 70+ process now and would like to reduce that to something more reasonable like mid 30s?
Basics:
LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX ASUS Striker Extreme (removed onboard / add-on sound)
750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified PC Power and Cooling S75QB
Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Quad-Core Intel Core 2 Quad
4x1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Crucial Ballistix
Sound Blaster PCI X-Gamer
WIN7 Pro 64-Bit
2xSegate 320Gb (Raid 1) System / Swap
2xSegate 1TB (Raid 1) Data / Applications / Games
Track IR 3 on Track4 software
Full CH HOTAS set
Thanks in advance.

I used this to lower processes to mid 30's I used the tweaked configuration and everything worked fine on mine. google all the process you turning off just to make sure its not something that one of your programs is going to use.
