In the "Start new topic" text field I can type until I get to the bottom of the viewed field, once I get past the viewed field I can no longer see my text unless I scroll down to view it, once I continue to type it pops back and forth from the original field at the top and where my text is being typed out at the bottom. Its very frustrating.
If I have to type anything that surpasses the text field I have to type it up in a Word Document and copy and past it.
:headscratch:

I am having the same problem. It is because of IE7 on Vista. I think Skuzzy has a fix for it, but held it off until Windows releases some update to fix the problem. It gets very frustrating to write back replies sometimes.

This is a problem with IE8. No other browser in the market has this issue.
I have heard if you set the site to "compatibility mode" it takes care of the problem.

Skuzzy, thanks for the info. Do I find that in the tools section? NM I think that did it, works great.

Easy solution: Get the better, faster, firefox. :)

There was a version of Firefox that did the same thing... :neener:
With the history of memory leaks and large memory footprint...firefox is only marginally better than I.E.

"marginally" still better than ie :D. but that's another thread. :D

Much as it sucks, I had to upgrade to IE8. I had IE6 (yes, and all the fixes/patches/updates) with my own custom settings to make it fairly safe.
However, I'm starting to get more and more notices from webpages (including youtube) that they'll stop supporting IE6 soon. I held off on IE7 because I heard a lot of bad things, it screwed up 2 of my family members' PCs, and they had to revert back to IE6, and then when IE8 came out I waited a good long time to make sure no repeat of IE7 happened.
I get the stupid text box jitter on these forums, too. However, that stupid little "compatibility view" button up by the address bar seems (for now) to fix it.
I really don't like the limited options on this stupid new version of IE. I can't get rid of things on the toolbar I don't want and will never use, I can't get rid of tabs when only 1 tab is present, and myriad other idiotic oversights that Firefox allows me to customize.
Yes, I have mozilla, and use it once in a while. However my primary browser has been IE6 for some time.
In short, use compatibility mode to fix this (oh, and IE8 sucks! :lol )

If you find yourself getting smug and comfortable with Firefox, you might want to read this (http://www.itbusinessedge.com/content/is-it-time-to-reconsider-firefox.aspx).
