Title: Bug on C-47

The control surfaces on the C-47 were actuated by using trim surfaces alone (i believe with 90% sertainty, haven't check it since many years ago). The reason for this was to make them easy to move in flight. On ground and with 0 velocity they control surfaces themselves should not move at all, only the trim surfaces. In AH they move also on ground. This is a LARGE bug  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Well, not that large maybe, but it should be fixed IMO.

You mean trim surfaces or balance tabs??

Even if balance tabs were used to help with the moving of the control surfaces, I would think that on the ground where you don't have to work against air pressure, you would be able to move the control surfaces.

Controls like that would be a real squeak near the stall bod.

What you are talking about are "boosters" but you still move the main control surfaces.

No, it was not boosters. There are no direct connections from the control column to the surfaces, with boosters there are, i think.

i'm almost definitely sure these were ballance/servo tabs only .. as said at slow speeds you wouldn't have enough control authority otherwise .. (the only plane i know where the elvator is actuated by tabs is the MD80 Series (looks kindda funny wehn one side of the elevator goes up and the other side down 'cuz they are not interconneted...
