Post by: Spikes on December 22, 2009, 04:26:21 PM: I doubt it'd get people away from the Goonie. It was slower. You'll bring up the fact that it was armored. Yeah, with a few 30 or 50 cals, it wasn't a B17.

If you want to dump 70mph off your top speed for a 13mm gun and two 7.92mm guns be my guest, but I bet the 70mph will be a better defense against an La-7 or Spitfire Mk XVI.

Ya the overwhelming speed of the C47 is what saves them from the spit and la :huh

70mph more significantly reduces the travel time, and thus the time you are exposed to being intercepted and shot down. If a C-47 or Ju52 is intercepted it has a very slim chance of surviving, so minimizing the time you are exposed to interception is your single best defense.

That's exactly the same with the M3 vs SdKfz 251. The SdKfz is much tougher and it is harder to kill, but the M3's speed is still a significant advantage. Hence, you rarely see any SdK's carry troops.

I think the main reason for that is simply that most people don't know that the SdKfz is much tougher to kill than the M3, so they only see the speed difference and thus favor the M3.

Well you also get more perks for using the M3 because its OBJ score is much higher because it lacks the mortars. I would use it more if it gave me 10 perks like the goon and M3 would, that's just me thought.

NO! real CW copiers doing 70 wpm don't get word breaks, nor do they hear dit-dah's. They just see words.... :D

Sadly, the hard drive they were on crashed. I also lost the amateur video of me saving Megan Fox and sixteen orphans from a zeppelin fire. :(
