What exactly is copyrighted? The name? Or the program in general?

The XML editor was engineered from one that was released as an add-in for Word by another company.

So what's going to end up happening is Microsoft is probably just going to shell out a back-dated "license fee" to use it and not change a thing.

Microsoft is going to use their perk points and buy controlling stock in that little company.
