Title: This is Sad but I need to ask.
Post by: bustr on December 23, 2009, 05:34:09 PM
I never thought I would need to know how to use this. After all this is just a game......... :huh

1. How does squelch work?

2. How long does it last?

3. Does it work for PM?

4. Does it work for tuning to your ID on VOX?

Again, Sorry I even have to be involved with this feature...........

1. You squelch someone by using dot command .squelch GAMEID. You can also rightclick on player's name on roster, but usually dot command is faster. The player won't be able to communicate with you anymore. You can squelch up to 10 players.

2. It works until either you or the squelched player relogs into arena, or until you .unsquelch him. (Use ".unsquelch all" to totally clear your squelch list )

3. Yes.

4. Yes.

the .unsquelch command only seems to unsquelch vox, leaving text squelched ... as far as I can tell.

Also, for both 3 and 4, you may want to save a quick film of the one giving you crap before you squelch.. Send it to HTC and they'll give em a good smack upside the head.

Also it should be said that you have to type the Game ID of who is giving you trouble, and not just GameID.  Otherwise Poor GameID will get squelched for no Reason.  Although that might not be a bad Idea. :D :bolt:
