Also got the book Aces High by Bill Yenne, The Essential Aircraft Identification Guide: Allied Fighters 1939-1945 by Chris Chant, and The Complete Illustrated History of World War Two by Donald Sommerville. WHERE IS MY RED HEAD WOMAN I ASK FOR ???? LOL :cry
-
GF got me a micro-sized remote control helicopter. Spent the whole dang day playing with it, she already regrets buying the thing.
Especially after I chased her up the stairs with it after she got out of the shower, and then landed it on her head after she came back down.
Got her dad a couple of books on fighter tactics and the like- the guys 74 years old and totally hooked on flight sims, but he's tried AH and WB and is intimidated by the learning curve. Thought it would be a nice way to help him out without having to play 'instructor pilot' for weeks. Plus it gives him something to do to keep him out of his wifes hair. And sims are cheaper than the R/C planes he laboriously builds and then destroys on their maiden flights. ;)

The rest of my family is going to Florida from Dec26th to Jan3rd… My daughters high school marching band is playing in the Citrus bowl parade and at Disney world & Universal studios. I took the week off work to maybe do some hunting and recharge my batteries… So I will be home alone. (Sweet!)
My wonderful family bought me 5 boxes of Hamburger Helper, 4 cans of Spam, a bunch of chips dips & pretzels… And a bottle of whiskey & a case of beer. (All the stuff I like, but they don’t.) I may need to run out for more supplies on day two.
I’m gonna be in hog heaven!
CHEERS! Goaly
-
USRANGER, you do not know what you are talking about. Dyncorp, KBR, and those companies are not Mercs. We do Infrastructure work, and support the U.S. Army in a support role.
-
Wife got me the Limited Edition The Beatles Rockband for Wii. I got some LP frames from her as well. My son bought me a couple things.
Wife bought a Diamond/Sapphire ring and some clothes for herself.
The kid got an assortment of Clone Wars gifts. He got the full size Trooper helmet and the Blaster. Plus most Nerf dart stuff, so we can lose these darts eventually.
Merry Christmas to you all!

Wife got me a David Clark H10-13XL Active Noise Cancelling headset.. (does this mean she wants me to actually be able to hear her after a day's flying!?, hell there goes that excuse...), she also got me a R/C Blade mSR micro heli, for indoor flying.. fun little bird, takes the mCX to a new level, sicne it is not coaxial, it is MUCH more agile and fun.
Got myself a BME 43% Edge 540 RC plane, a DA-170 engine for it, radio gear for it, and the prop...
Got the wife a matching diamond ring/bracelet/earring set, some vera wang purse she wanted (she picked it out, I jsut wrapped it lol), and a knife set.
We got ourselves 3 digital photo frames to put around the house.
Kid got a list longer than my ... :O... hehe
Best thing we got her IMO is a nice 12.2 megapixel Fujifilm point-n-shoot style digital camera... she loves taking pics with my DSLR, but its a bit too complex for her.. not to mention the fumbling fingers of a 9/yo..
-
Awsome Sol. Hope you have fun with it :) I have a Blade too, but after I dinged the blade a couple of times it's a little out of balance now. Fun to fly though :)
We got 50 lottery tickets, I scratched about 25.
Only made 7 bucks. No luck. :(

Dragon Age is far from lame, at least in my opinion.
I was disappointed big time in Dragon Age, game is for 12 year old's, same with Age of Conan, I have a feeling it's gonna end up the same as AoC, being uninstalled and sitting on a shelf.
"Assassins Creed" on the other hand simply rocks.
