Title: sights and sounds

I had to reload Aces High.  The download went fine but even though I had made copies of my settings, sights, sounds, etc folders I can't get the game to see them. For example on the sights, everything is using the defalt. I know the other sights are there because the files are in the sights folder, but they are not listed for selection in the options menu.  Same with the sounds.  The files are in the folder but the game isn't using them.

any ideas?

Did you move your backed up copies of files/folders back into where AH is installed?

(Ideally would be a new folder, slightly renamed, etc)

yes, I moved my saved folders into the Aces High II folder.  The files are there. For instance I can open a BMP file of a sight in the sights folder but when I'm in the hanger and select prefrences - gunsights  they are not there.

Maybe try moving the old files out of the new AHII file so only your back-up files are in there?

If you copy and past the old file over the new it should ask you if you are sure you want to rewrite the folder just say yes. I would make a back up though just to make sure in case it doesn't work.
