I have went through and updated my P-51D template and will be redoing all my accepted P-51Ds to this new standard.
I appreciate the tips that Oboe shared with me on how he does his bare metal. Thanks Oboe, I used some of yours, some of mine and some new things to come up with this look.

Very nice. I know this is a very popular skin and the drivers should appreciate the new look and extra detail. I feel for Skuzzy though with all these updates to existing skins! May be time for HTC to re-design the update process to make it less labor-intensive. :pray

I always thought it kind of ironic that the only skins of yours I didn't particularly like were your P51 skins. Wow did that just get turned on its head :D

Me too actually. They are old. The first was accepted back in 2005.
Along with the current work on the B-17s, I plan to redo my 109-G6s as well.

First, I appreciate the effort to make the old stuff better, but I'd rather see the difference on a skin that is all BMF. I think the material file is either going to make the BMF too dull, or make the OD trim to specular on this one. Either way, I'm looking forward to the updates. :aok

I think the large cowling cover and wing root fillet fasteners look great. Looking forward to seeing some more updates too. Hey, can you do the Pac theater one with the flag-striped tail? I think that was a very sharp scheme, and would love to see that one in game.

Oh I can take it, from those who are not laughable.
I am just saying that considering your use of Rogerdee's skin from the AHSkins site for most if not all of your P-51s. Just adding things on top of it and calling it your own work, that you really have no room to talk about anyone elses work.

I have known about this for 2 years. I had not said a word. You come into a thread on one of my skins belittling my work. I told you that you should be careful. I will take anything from any other skinner look at it and see if they have a point, but you.
Anyone who wants to can take 5 minutes, goto AH-Skins.com and download your 353FG/352FS skin, your 118FS/23FG skin, basically any of your skins and compare it to RogerDee's 436th FS 479th skin.
Everyone starts with a base, but generally it is the default skin. You made a mistake by not changing characteristics of RogerDee's skin and using them over and over again.
We are done here. I am not going to cause Skuzzy any problems and loose my CM position.

I have always admired How well you deal with the "Compression Banding "issues They are virtually nonexistent in your skins. They are very immersive to fly .
I'm sure most don't notice those subtleties but I sure do, And I understand how much work it takes to eliminate it.
