Title: TrackIR and films
Post by: Urchin on January 01, 2010, 08:20:51 AM
I know last time I played (about a year ago) trackIR did not really work with the film viewer.  Would it be possible for the film viewer to track the view with trackIR like it does with the hat views or is that not technically feasible?  It would be pretty awesome I think.

TrackIR is a seperate program.  How would the AH film viewer record from a different source.

Try Fraps?  Record and film, then edit alot.

Joystick firmware, Saitek, CH etc. software is a seperate (sic) program. How would AH film viewer record from a different source.

AH has to take the inputs from the joystick or its software anyway to do head movements, like it has to take the inputs that the TIR program has translated from your head movements to move the head in game. What would the difference be?

YOU try running Fraps and playing the game at the same time.

I like this idea. I would like to have Trackir support in the film viewer.

You make it sound so easy.  :)

Figure now we don't see stick or throttle input.  Not all the gauges are displaying.  Control surfaces don't all move.

It would be nice.  Showing everything going on would be nice too.  Your plane as well as the others in the film.

Huuuge file?

I wish it was so easy.

As for Fraps... I can barely type and run AH at the same time....

If we could at least get to pan the view with the mouse in the film viewer, I think TrackIR would then work.
