Title: Need Help converting image
Post by: MadHatter on January 02, 2010, 01:16:36 AM
I'm trying to get this converted to the proper format (256 color) every time I do tho, I end ip with alot of greens and browns "bleeding" through. Anyone got any ideas?

I know, I made it that way. Did a fly over on the Industrial Center, took a screenshot and converted it. The idea was to make something similar to the recon photographs of WWII. Problem is,when I convert the Black and White picture to 256 color, greens and blues bleed thru.

You should probably convert it to 256 grayscale, not color.  Maybe even run it through Bright to index the colors?

I used CS4 to convert the image to grayscale before I did any work to it. maybe if I merge the layers it will remove the colors. Aside from the color issue, how does it look? Like I said I meant it to look like a recon photograph along withinfo buff drivers may want.

The pic in the link looks fine to me.  I don't see any color artifacts.   :headscratch:

Thats because it wasn't set to 256 yet, I left it that way in case someone had a trick up their sleeves.
