I know your head coaches brother very well; in fact his brother is the only person who is a head coach that I know of that has been able to turn one winning season into a 25+ year career. HOWEVER after the following statement I like Mack Brown even more:
Brown, Texas' coach, dazzled at his last press conference before the No. 2 Longhorns (13-0) play No. 1 Alabama (13-0) in the BCS national championship, leaving reporters alternately guffawing or nodding their heads in agreement.
For example, several Texas players had defined Longhorns football as, "fast, furious, fun, physical, playing with a swagger." What would be his own definition?
"Well, they usually say what we say. They usually repeat it, " Brown said, and then he went with the routine.
"Very honestly, you want to be fast, you want to have fun, " he said. "You want to be physical. I wasn't the most intelligent guy in the world, so one day I said, 'it's full of F's; it's fast, have fun, be physical, ' and some of the players kind of looked at each other."
And then he delivered the real punch-line.
"Some of the players didn't get it, though, and that bothered me even more, " he said.

Yes, a great match up in the NC would be fun. The past few NC games where a bit disappointment.

Of course you are. They're favored and you can't form an original thought much less write a sentence that makes sense. All that aside this is going to be a great game played by two great schools with great traditions. Texas is going to have to play at their very best or the Tide will ROLL tonight. If Texas can't get some sustained drives the Texas defense will wear down and the Bama running attacking will get stronger every possesion. It's just a matter of time barring a miracle performance by the freshman QB.

Sheesh first possesion you run the option and get your star QB hurt. Late in the half down 17-6 and deep in your own end of the field with 17 seconds left you call timeout so your freshman QB can attempt a shuttle pass against a great defense like Bama? I want whatever Mack Brown and his Offensive Coordinator are smoking. This doesn't distract from the fact Bama is playing a great game.

McCoy and his dad had a talk in a room , alone about how far he would drop in the draft if he hurt that shoulder worst....he decided best to not play. No one would ever say that or own up to it...but I'll bet ya that was part of a conversation.

All the drama got sucked out of this game when Colt was hurt. Texas defense is playing well but not enough to overcome the lack of offense. My friends and I just gave up and left the bar at halftime. The feeling is, the game is pretty much over.

I do agree, BSU would have been crush but the matter still stands. Both teams 14-0, how can you have that and only one gets the crowned. Oh wait, B.S. BCS says so.

It's still possible in the AP Poll, but it won't happen as far as the BCS is concerned.

#57 was a nightmare for the Longhorns. Knocks Colt out of the game, then gets that 6 point gift near the halftime.

Well I almost won a monster sized pot of cash last night with the score before that last touchdown. I picked the game @ 30-21 Bama. We had a score pick 'em going with winner take all and some little IT boy pis-ant won it all.
BTW I still think Bama would have won with McCoy in the game because they had held Texas when they were on the ropes. The Texas o-line wasn't getting the push they needed to dominate. When you get to the red zone like that you can't be anything but the more physical team against that defense that Alabama put on the field. A lot of people around here late last night and this morning are saying that this team; specifically this defense; is the best one that Alabama has ever put on the field. Much better than the 1992 team which was one of the best I have ever seen.
Oh and look out world....Bama returns nearly EVERYONE, including another 6-4 250lb LB who is much better than Rolando McClain but was injured early in the year and gets a medical redshirt.

Wrong player. The one that got shot was Deaderick and he got shot attempting to prevent a robbery at an apartment complex in Tuscaloosa. From what I know of the kid (second hand information from a buddy who works for UA Athletic Dept) the kid is just an amazing person that tries to help as many people as possible. He was never in danger from the gun shot since it was through his arm and didn't damage any major arteries or anything else.

I watched that play over and over. I know serious injuries can happen from even the mildest collisions, you don't need a train wreck to have a game or career ending injury but........ I think youre right on this one. Colt got stung and he decided the money was more important.

I'm a tu hater but i doubt that's how it went. I've been hit like that before and had my arm go dead, for a QB that means your game is over. you can't throw more than 7 yds and have zero accuracy.
