Title: terrains first
Post by: texasmom on January 07, 2010, 05:17:31 PM
According to the instructions on the bottom of the wiki page, you load terrain first, then missions. Right?

The terrains is something that's in the overall AH thing, or is that something exclusive to each separate mission?

If you know what terrain the mission is based on, you load it via your start up clipboard map first, clicking on Choose Terrain.  Select the terrain then enter offline mode.  On your offline clipboard map, you will see a selection for Practice Missions.  When you click on it, it will show the available missions you have downloaded for that terrain.  When you download a mission, put the missionX.res file in your MISSRES folder.  Most missions are based on our normal MA & AvA terrains.  Mine are usually on custom terrains that are included with the mission download.  You would put the terrainX.res file in your AHTERR folder for your game to have it. :salute

So essentially, the game itself has to be loaded onto the computer regardless... you're just shifting additional files into the lineup to select from?

:) Thanks Ranger, I sure do appreciate it. I'll probably come back later in a few days ask more questions if you don't mind.
