Title: .wingman vox channel
Post by: RTHolmes on January 08, 2010, 08:35:30 AM
pretty simple really ... automatically set up a 2 way vox channel with whoever you set using the ".wingman xxxx" command.

while we're at it, ".w xxxx" would be a good shortcut for ".wingman xxxx" too.

Assume this is as well as the V channel where you can each input your wingmans name anyway

This would be cool, or either have this or have 3 vox channels that can be tuned to at one time...

1) squad vox (like chann 164)
2) range vox
3) Another vox (for wingman, etc...)

And be able to assign some priority to each of the channels.

Often the entire squad is not doing the same thing but rather select members are flying together while other members are off doing something else, this would allow us to 1) still communicate with the local squad member in a non-public way, 2) communicate while being able to prioritize which chatter you want to hear.

Yep! Have asked for it several times over the years.

Also user control for how many text channels. Sometimes 4 is not enough.

+1. Seen this or similar wishes over the years - wonder if there is a technical limitation that prevents it. Care to sound off Hitech?
