Axis versus Allies :rock I would bet that most players think that the Arena is for special events :salute and not regular :cool: 24 hour arena as are the Early and Mid War Arenas, with the FSO :airplane: seeming to be the closest Special Event comparison.
I have been playing since the mid 90s off and on. Back then I was curious about the Combat Theater (yes, that is what they called it back in the day :old: ). So, I stepped in and ever since have been dragging anyone who will listen to me along with me to see. The one single complaint that they have had :uhoh it is always empty. :headscratch:
I have my own ideas, but I would like to hear from some of you. :pray
This in no way is a whine about how much effort and improvements made. Actually, I am even more miffed :huh since there is so much player involvement and even awards for participation.

As you may know, I am promoting a squad night on Mondays 10pm est. That is a start.
Bring people in at that time and hopefully it will grow from there.

That's the spirit :angel: Like I said, a lot of good work being done.
My dilemma, I work nights :mad: EST, so when you are about ready for good times :bolt: I am on the road ( 7 days a week ). Even though it's not much of a job, it pays a bill or two.
Any suggestions that will promote daytime play also?

I have really been enjoying Monday nights.
Last night I cut it short so I could meet a trainer in the TA, but I had great fun for an hour.
Any suggestions that will promote daytime play also?
The first Monday, I tried to get an afternoon event going on, but couldn't get much attendance, I'd still love to play on Monday afternoon, but decided to concentrate on building the evening game first.

I would be surprised if the Euro guys aren't joining this one ... 3pm EST is 8PM GMT more or less

:joystick: Angry and I had the longest turnfight that I can remember. He was in a 109 or 190 I can't remember, and me in a Yak. We each had turns just missing by a inches. Honestly, that was the most fun that I have had since returning to the game.
:salute Angry, Jimson, Notch, Eagler, Colleen, Reich and everyone else who was there today (yes the arena is open during daytime play) for some good old fashion cartoon flying.

i too had one of the longest fights i can ever remember...until someone picked me. Anyway it was fun! keep on coming in there, bring friends, family, sisters....sheep, whatever it takes! :D

I too have been miffed by the lack of pilots in the AVA arena. I am always wanting to go in there but, as thread says, no one is ever in there. I would be more than willing to recruit some more guys into the arena. Otherwise, ill poke my head in their from time to time to see whats going on.

I played the allies vs axis arena but no one was on it was just plain frustrating because it is not a Special Events server

Yep. Same old story as it's always been, even when I spent a lot more time in AvA: Nobody goes to the AvA because NOBODY'S THERE! And nobody's there because nobody goes there!
The main thing that's always been frustrating to me is seeing one or two people as being in the AvA, so I stop in there and see two people on the roster but they don't respond to any messages and aren't up doing anything.

Try this: If no one is in AvA (like the MAs, sometimes they're afk), get one or two of your friends to come in with you. Everyone seems to realize that once you prime the pump the water starts flowing.
