Do you guys think I would get a better picture quality if I switched from a DVI input to an HDMI input, or does it really matter? I know I got a slight picture quality increase when I switched from VGA to DVI, but I'm not sure if the same is true for HDMI.

i believe the only differance between dvi and hdmi is the hdmi runs hidef audio, i use dvi and i get a great picture when i watch blueray disks on my pc. and yes dvi hdmi give a better picture then vga.

My first LCD crica 2004 was just VGA. My 2nd LCD had DVI but didn't come with a DVI cable so I used VGA for 2 months. I then bought a cheap cable off Newegg and notice a nice improvement in color and response time. As for HDMI, IIRC reeb is correct.

thats one thing i hate about new monitors, i paid 280$ for my LG 22" widescreen but you think they could add a dvi cable with it....nope had to buy one also but it was worth it.

Reminds me of the modern desktop printer. To the uninformed consumer, they get a $60 printer which sounds like a great deal. But have to buy the color or black cartridge and if they're 'extra' bright they buy the $35 gold plated USB cable.

Wow... 36 bucks for a USB cable :rofl I went on best buy to look for an HDMI cable, anything over 3 ft was outrageously expensive, go on ebay, you can get 15 and 20 ft cords for about 5 bucks!

bestbuy is a money pit, only thing i like it for is making the computer sales people look stupid for not having a clue about what they are selling, its aways good for a few laughs. they are very overpriced on mostly outdate computers and computer parts.

Yeah, they wanted $230 for an 8800GTS as of, I think February of last year!
