You likely have the Explorer set to close the download manager after the download finishes.  Just find where you save all your other Downloads it may be a .zip file.  Typically the default location for saved files is the Desktop or C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\My Documents\downloads.  If you are unable to find it Open the Windows Search and search for "Sketchworks2009" (or 2010).

Steps to DL and use:

>Download the file to a folder/location (such as Desktop or "Downloads")
>Open the .zip file and unzip to a location (Such as Desktop or "Downloads")  This does not apply to all the Soundpacks, only some are Zipped
>Go to the AH directory (C:\HiTech Creations>Aces High) and change the 'Sounds file to 'Sounds2' or something similar
>Cut the New sound folder and paste into the AH directory
>Start AH and they will work.

To check it is set right open the Sounds File (new one) after you have put it in the Directory and you should see a list of planes and then a bunch of random names (explosion_1, Gun_1 etc.).  If you see that in C:\HiTech Creations\Aces high\Sounds then you set it up right.

Hope that helps. :)

Yes, with Firefox it likely saved it to the same places mentioned.  My Firefox defaults to the "Downloads" folder, but it used to default to Desktop (not sure how that got swapped but oh well).  Firefox/Internet Explorer/Oprah(or whatever)/Chrome and anything else will likely, for ease of use, default all saves to those locations unless told otherwise by the user.

This was posted in another thread:
BTW, the folders may have changed since this was posted.  The folder for AH may now be this:  c:\HiTech Creations\Aces High

In the first pic, I have just downloaded a zipped soundpack to my Desktop:

I now unzip it, giving me the actual soundpack folder, called Sounds.

I now go into My Computer->C:->Program Files->HTC->Aces High II folder and see all the folders/files that go to the game.  I locate my original Sounds folder and delete it.  Then, I copy the new, unzipped Sounds folder that's sitting on my Desktop(the soundpack) and paste it into my AHII folder that I just deleted my old Sounds folder from.

If I installed my soundpack correctly, when I open my new Sounds folder up to look at it, I would see this.  The original Sounds folder we already deleted is empty by default.  If we were just adding a couple new sounds to the default ones, we would just drop them into our original Sounds folder, but since we are adding an entire soundpack, we are replacing the entire Sounds folder.

What versions windows u using?  You should try to use winzip or winrar (what I use) to extract the files.  There is no executable file so I don't understand why u getting a win32 error.
