Last night, Betty set up a bombing raid to bish city, 6-7 sections deep. we had about 7 b-17s with some escort. when we got to about 3 sections away, we ran into a rook bombing raid on there way to bish city too. they where about 6 k ahead of us at same alt, +20k. It was quit fun to see both kights and rooks not shooting at each other and fly side be side. Any bish cons dare to attack, both rook and knight escort will jump them.
I hoping that betty have pic of it

HA thats funny, wish i saw that

Good times! Could have been more fun with more Bish resistance. Bish were light and scattered, with a drizzle of plane parts.
Below a lone Bish takes on the rooks "Tail end Charlie" as the nit mission flies overhead.

Later, I donated a Tempest.

yea, that was funny seeing u , steve, taking on 8 b-17s and having all of them firing at you. not sure how you made it our of that hell hole.
-
That was a blast. We kept hearing Avanti (our tail-end Charlie) screaming about buffs coming up from behind and we all thought we were going to have a repeat of the week before. (We had gotten intercepted by Thundregg and his guys. Needless to say a whole bunch of buff-on-buff dogfighting started up). To Avanti's credit tho, he had dropped 5 cons before that 51 came in (one being a 262). After we had figured out what was going on, we were too busy laughing about the odds of it happening we almost missed our zero-line to line up on the target. To the Knights, thanks for being good sports, to the Bish, really, this wasn't planned. Bad day to be a Bish. As the Dread Pirate Roberts would say "Sleep well Knights, for I, most assuredly, will kill you in the morning." :salute

Ya it was pretty funny.. my screen was filled with tracers from several directions.
Bad day to be a Bish.
On the contrary! Both countries(rooks and nits) brought numerous targets right to Bish doorstep. It was a great opportunity to get in some fights. I was surprised more Bish didn't join in the fun.

LOL Guess it's a glass half-empty/half-full kinda thing. :D

That's fun right there, WTG Steve on trying to dispatch as many as you could, it reminded me of a flight i had when my formation of 17's encountered a rook B17 formation, lol we got side by side and started blasting each other, lol i never laughed so hard and i think the rook pilot was doing the same, after we both saluted each other on our unusual dogfight.

As a rook I felt this was some jacked up version of sleeping with the enemy, but it was fun! Hey Bish, heads up! :D

<S> Steve for giving us some fun and excitement. :)
We we Bish were entering enemy airspace, we were watching the red darbar come from one sector to the South of us thinking we were going to be intercepted by huge numbers of enemy planes. Later we saw that they were Rook bombers now turning in front of us and also heading to the Bish strat target. We Bish were laughing for a long time and soon coordinated with "Swoops" so that the Knights and Rooks would not hit the same areas. Swoops had the Rooks hit the center bringing it down to 40% while the Bish would hit the outer parts bringing them down to 40-70% each. Our two bomber streams parted ways after the drop with the Rooks getting home first long before we Bish could land our damage points. We two countries attempted to land our damage points together but the Rooks were about to be vulched and could not wait for us Bish. :lol Bish landed 24k worth of points while the Rooks landed 28k.
Seeing the Knights and Rooks at the same altitude, separated by only 3k during the drop was almost unbelievable that it wasn't coordinated. Good times. :)

Took up a gunner position with k9 after I got downed running escort duty. Was a blast seeing that huge formation up there. Watched that lone bish 51 come in and said, "ahh dammit, I know that's Steve". ;)

whoops, we were Knights, not bishops. :o
You missed a few other typos Betty, as there were many in there. :)
-
I thought you guys were crazy, all this yelling about bombers and i couldn't find them, then I saw them and i was a combo of  & :O. Had lots of fun even though I completely missed my target.
Someone needs to post a better pic showing of the hail of lead that Steve flew thru. There were tracers everywhere.

Those strats are worthless spots on the map, with 0 effect on country gameplay. Bomb them , land your points and be happy!

Hmm, no conspiracy posts yet :O

:huh
By attacking at the heart of the enemy, you force them to take some of their men off the front lines and station them further back. It also raises the moral of your country men and demoralizes the enemy, which can result in the war ending sooner rather than later. War tactics 101! You are dismissed!
