Hey guys.
I am moving to another home, and cannot get my regular ATT internet service there. It's a local company that has the area covered (Even though I lived 5 miles away)...
They offer:
3bps High Speed for $30
6bps HS for $52
10bps HS for $61
Can I game Aces high using the 3bps. What about the PS3 online?
Thanks,
Mathis

It should be fine, as long as it's stable. It is DSL right? or cable?

Uh, 3 bits/second? 180 bits/minute? 10.55 Kilobytes/hour?
Yeah, I am pretty sure there is a typo in there somewhere. U.S. Postal mail is faster than that.

I was trying to find a good way to point that out...but Skuzzy found the best way. :lol
As long as the ping/packet loss (or lack there of) is good, 3MBps is more then enough to game.

Okay. Thanks guys. Sorry for that Typo :D

I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, using a 4 Mbps cable connection.
That gives me with all the hops, 160 ms avg ping. Including the longest one(timewise) from Brasil to US, which, I believe is a satellite hop.
With 3 MBPS in US you should be ok.

It's not so much the speed as the reliability.
This game will fly perfectly well on an old dial up ISP, as long as the packets get where they're going.
Some ISPs have problems with lost packets, with really slow routing jumps at certain points along the way to HTC's servers, and so on. Best way is to run a ping trace or trace route to the HTC server and see what the results are.

Before Broadband came into my area i played on a solid Dial up connection with 130-140 MS pings and no packet loss . The game doesn't require alot of throughput . My dial up had less variance than my 20/mbit line has from time to time.
Krusty beat me to it lol

I was about to say 3bps is kinda slow. :rofl It should work fine I've been playing on 1.5mbps and I have no problems.
