Well I am getting a desktop and I would like it to be a gaming rig. Does any one have any advice. I am thinking might as well get a quad core but not sure.
-
Based on Skuzzy's move of your post...nvm.
Follow what Skuzzy said, it's true..
-
kilo2, I moved this thread into the hardware and software forum as I happen to know you will get a lot of quality responses here from folks who never go into the O'Club forum (I wouldn't, if I did not have to).

Hey kilo what is your budget.

That's the big question here. Also are you planning a build or buying a proprietary system?
-
My budget is 2500 dollars. I don't think I know enough to build one so i would be getting a proprietary system. I was looking at a Alienware computer but I don't know if your just buying the brand with that computer or it really is a top of the line gaming system.
-
Call TilDeath, that's my opinion my friend. If you don't want to build it yourself, call him. As soon as I have the money to, he's getting my business I guarantee it.
-
kilo...please, stay away from already built's...either call TD or build your own (I know you said you don't want to but it is a great experience). TD is a quality guy and will help you with whatever needs you might need. (Bad choice of words). 2500 is a lot, he can get you a kickarse system.

I was thinking the same thing myself. Hey kilo, feel free to spend some of that and donate the rest to the help low get a new machine fund. I'll write a receipt so you can take it off of your taxes. :aok

Forget your gaming rig, donate the money to a real aviator! :D

I will give him a call. Does any one run one of his systems now? I would like to hear a review of it.

A few off the top of my head: wrag, ABDC, Thing, hlbly, Flash.
Start here and click Next each time till you find threads with pics:

Most of the pic threads are the ones he has built.

Generally a search for TilDeath (or some variance thereof) will reveal plenty of his work.
-
Give Rich (TD) a call. I see an i7 in your future. :rock
-
Well, there's your answer: call TilDeath. I personally have no knowledge of his work, but since everyone here is either running one of his systems or knows someone that does, I'd listen to them.
-
Just yesterday I screwed something up on my computer. Rich (TilDeath) walked me through the solution to correct the problem. I bet I made 10 phone calls over a couple of hours. Never a complaint from him. That is customer service.
By the way, if you don't know what your doing in BIOs, stay out of it. :aok
Call Rich.

I use one of his rigs and love it. Like bmwgs said, I've called him several times about the system I built for his expertise and never a complaint. The last one I built for a customer was modeled after the one he built for me.
-
yes go threw TD, great guy and very smart and build some killer systems.
-
My brother is running an I7 machine that Tildeath put together and he loves it.
