Are they modeled yet? Now I DO NOT claim to be some flight expert but I cant see where they do anything. Pyro mentioned working on flaps in his post earlier, I wonder if he ment these as well? Oh and what about the fowlers... they'd be modeled differently than reqular flaps correct?

flaps are modelled... they add a bit of lift and a bit of drag.
if you need lift it will cost you some drag for using em.
perhaps the flaps work right or maybe need more lift when deployed... or is it more drag?
anyways you wont win a turnfight in a p38 with a spit by relying on flaps but you might actually get him to overshoot or be able to keep him from making you overshoot with said flaps hanging out in the wind.
they are also nice at the top of a super low speed loop.
correct?
who cares.. they are flaps.. the add lift and cause drag.
if you rationalize it by that standard they work

Arg... I intended to say that I cant see where the dive flaps do much... and are "fowlers" going to be modeled as they are a different version of flaps, yes? Pyro mentioned the flaps issue and got me excited...lol.
Oh and I'll never expect to out turn a spit ... but I might be able to get an angle on him,and every bit of lift and/or drag could help me do that eventualy... :)
