Title: Kill/Death Stats....All N1K2 haters will be surprised.....
Post by: DingHao2 on June 26, 2001, 01:21:00 PM
I just looked @ the kill to death ratio in the scores section.  The stats??

F4U-C: 2.4147 kills/deaths
Fw-190 D-9: 1.4702 kills/deaths--the best non-perked plane!
La-7: 1.2706 kills/deaths
Ta-152 H-1: 2.2637 kills/deaths
Tempest: 3.6139 kills/deaths
N1K2-J: 1.2180 kills/deaths

I see no reason why the niki should be perked; these stats show that is beatable and is not the best plane!

First, all aircraft are beatable.

Second, K/D ratio is not a good parameter to measure the efectiveness of an aircraft.
Nikki is an extremely easy to fly plane, and , with the SpitIX, is the rookie plane of choice. You'll find a lot of "greens" flying this plane and being killed over'n over while they start to learn.

That, and the n1k is a red flag on air..

Most pilots will make sure the n1k goes down first if he has to fight multiple enemy. N1k excells at zooming into fighters that are slightly defensive against a b&z plane.

And when it sneaks close enough, you can't turn with it nor can you dive away. He'll hang on your bellybutton like a fly on toejam.
