Ill hafta put my vote under long island iced tea. If im just drinking beer and I have a choice ill take Dos Equis over any other beer.
-
My usual poison is whiskey and coke. But a couple beers to be sociable every now and again doesn't hurt.
-
I've 3 favorites (depending on mood)
anytime (relax, food): hot sake
when stressed: dry martini
and for when I just feel like having an excuse to have more salt than i should have: margarita
-
Dr. Pepper and Jack Daniels
or if I've got the money Crown or Maker's Mark

Too fruity for me...
Dogfishhead 90 minute
Haven't tried the 120 minute, too damn expensive (not paying 9 bucks for one beer no matter what...)
I like hops.
(not your average 21 year old's favorite beer, huh?)

Nope, don't worry, we all think you're special.

I'm not much of a drinker, but I HAVE learned to make mead. REAL mead, not that glorified over-sweet wine that gets passed off as mead.
-
I had one rum & coke this year - spent the entire next day barfing. It was terrible. Back to not having any drinks for another few years.

Cheap wine, cheap beer, and more importantly cheap women. Oh, the latter's not a drink.
Right now it's cheap wine my mom gave me. But I love a good dark or red draft. I can smell almonds or a sweetness in it. Just Beautiful!
What's really important to me is to have family and friends around while we toast life itself. :salute

Nilsen! You LEGEND! We must get together for a drink sometime!! :rock
Was just going to post the same picture myself!
Spent two years working at Old Course Hotel in St Andrews with 130 malts behind the bar, and Macallan 18yr was and still is my favourite and more enjoyable then the 21yr. Though Lagavulin 21year is also a very close second in the favourites list.

It sure is in a league of its own! :) Its abit in the expensive side but its worth it when you just enjoy a glass now and then. I havent tried the Lagavulin 21 and i dont think my local pusher has it or i would have noticed that bottle.

Couldn't agree more drink you save for yourself. Guests get the Famous Grouse, which is actually very nice for a blend neat. Yeah lucky that I have a boutique wine shop near by and they stock both ever since I started requesting it. lol
There is actually 6 classic malts one that bests represents each region of Scotland, if you've tried them all? I keep this same rack at home (souvenir from hotel) and great for entertaining.

Generally, I stick to beers and white wines (occasionally).
My favorites?
Flying Dog Tire Bite
(http://www.flyingdogales.com/images/beer-tire-bottle.gif)
Sam Adams Light.
For those hot summer days after doing yard work, when thirst precludes everything.. Any good light beer will suffice. Two of them in a 28 oz frozen mug.
My regards,
Widewing

Guinness by a mile
One of my professors went to Ireland, he said if you haven't tasted Guinness until you have it in Ireland.
-
IPA
-
Bud Light or Coors Light
-
White wine spritzers, pina coladas and rum swizzles. In that order.
I thank the lord each day for the opportunities that have arisen out of that combination.
-
Bluemoon is awesome I also like Sam Adams Boston lager. Londons Pride is also awesome. Its hard to find around here though.
Stoli for vodka
-
Almost lost all hope at the first page. The second page is much more promising.

He's dead right. Lucky it's only a few hundred miles for me to get there. Still, a well poured guinness anywhere is a drink fit for anyman.

It's good, but still a Coors product. Not exactly "real" beer.

I dunno, I think I've seen that video. I don't think I had that much fun.

The Grandma was funny in that :)
I was working at the company christmas party the next day day - manning the kids station where they use hot glue to put together the candy-cane-reindeer. I kept having to run off from that to get sick. I left my two little ones (11 & 13) in charge of helping the little kids while I was in the bathroom. I came back once and a concerned parent informed me that my boys were using the hot glue gun in my absence to affix the fuzzy pipe-cleaners to their mouths "instant mustaches." I was horrified only as long as it took for me to run to the bathroom again - by then I didn't care. At least they weren't giving all the other kids pipe cleaner mustaches also.
One lousy drink.

Gentleman Jack & Coke
Belvedere on the Rocks
Beer is now usually PBR or Pacifico.
-
Bud Light is the norm. I do like a margarita on the rocks now and then, gotta be Patron or Cabo Wabo. My brother had some very good bourbon the other day I believe it was Woodford Reserve or somethin' like that. Best bourbon I've had and I used to drink MM like they were gonna stop makin' it. :)
-
I have an unopened 1/5th of Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select. I received as a gift from a good friend on the Sound & Vision forum in Nov. Just waiting for a special occasion to open it.
-
Bombay Sapphire on the rocks...when I need to just get loose.
Bombay Sapphire and Tonic...when I am with clients and need to keep it all together.
Beer of any description EXCEPT BUTTWEISER or BUTTWEISER LIGHT! Heck I will drink Hamms over Buttweiser.

Scotch and water, hold the scotch.

What's the rightmost one - don't recognize it? Of course, claiming that these best represent each region is highly subjective.
If you're in to malts, I highly recommend seeking out a bottle of Springbank from Campbletown on the Mull of Kintyre. The 10 year old is superb. The 15 year old is the closest thing I've seen to proof that God exists.
-
Just tried Capt. Morgan private stock. I like it sooo much better than the silver

Many Labatt Blues, or Captain and Coke.

mmmm, now that looks like a good brew.

My favorite beer is the porter by Anchor brewery in San Francisco. Man I just love that stuff it's perfect. I dig porters in general, but the anchor stuff is just fantastic. Beer should be black! http://www.anchorbrewing.com/beers/anchorporter.htm
My favorite rum right now is from Venezuela, http://rumdood.com/2008/06/04/rum-review-ron-pampero-aniversario/ but I go back and forth between that and the Captain. Mix with some Coke and a couple of wedges of lime (or bottled lime juice if you're lime deficient) and you've got a great drink. Yummy!!
-
I just had a shot called "liquid cocaine" It has yager, goldschalager(spelling?), and 151 in it.....tastes great but you get messed up :D
-
My Favorite is O.P. Whiskey. After that I like Gentleman Jack on the rocks, Crown on the rocks, Ice cold Vodka with fresh ground Pepper. Beer wise I like Shiner Bock, Heinekin draft, and corona. WHen I am at work overseas, I like anything I can get thru the market that is less than 100 dollars a bottle.
-
Sitting around the house.... frozen margaritas (or when we pull the trailer to camp)
Playing Pool.... Crown n Coke (or seven up)
Fishing/Kayaking...... bud light (Wife works for Budweiser)

Right most one is Glenkinchie a very nice and typically soft lowland malt.
Of course it's very subjective to claim they best represent each region but all six are very good and have been selected as the classic malt for many years now which is why they are also some of the most common malts as they are all very good with strong regional tastes.

I seen some mentions of captain morgan. Ive never tried it myself, what are some good drinks to make out of it? Also, junky that liquid cocaine sounds like something to try.
My wife owns a bar here in town, so when she is working as bartender a good chunk of the time I get five finger discounts on drinks. :)
Another drink I tried at the request of a friend is called "pissed off japanese minnow farmer." It wasnt too bad, but im told the quality of that particular drink is highly dependant on the bartenders skill.
Still really tough for me to give up on long island iced teas though. :)
-
Wild Turkey 101 shots with Schlitz chasers.
-
Wells Bombardier Premium Bitter for light refreshment; Captain Morgan rum and coke for light spiritual refreshment; a good Islay single malt with Islay water to match for the ultimate sundowner.
<hic>
Cheers!
-
5 finger discount is always the best!!! :rock :D :salute

Mix it about 50/50 with coke in a tall glass full of ice. Squeeze in two or three wedges of lime and throw the limes on in there too. Strong and delicious drink that you can drink all night.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I didnt see Bloody Mary come up at all......by far the best drink to get a little buzz going :rock

Word. It's a meal and a drink all in one, and next to chugging water it's the best cure for a hangover.

Be careful with those. I have heard that some people have been hurt with them, I don't know if it is true or not. The body metabolizes alcohol at a set pace.
-
Been drinking them for a few years, never enough to be hammered. If I'm out to drown I drink tequila. Preferably cabo wabo. :) but I haven't done that in a year or so, figured I had my fun 21-22. Decided 23 was a good age to grow up and start back into school and what not. :)
-
Anyone tried the new spring seasonal from Sam Adams yet?
I like it so far. Nice smooth, balanced taste with a good mouthfeel. I'm just glad I don't have to see their Winter Lager everywhere anymore. I can't drink that stuff, too spicy. Love most of their other stuff though.
-
Scotch............prefer Glenlivet, 12 - 15 yoa minimum :aok :rock

Johnny Black is a fine blend, and throw in a Becks or St. Pauli girl for washing the dust off a hard days labor.
