Title: January 26th is Australia Day

Australia Day is when we as a nation celebrate ourselves.

I love a sunburnt country,
  A land of sweeping plains,
  Of ragged mountain ranges,
  Of drought and flooding rains,
  I love her far horizons,
  I love her jewel sea,
  Her beauty and her terror -
  The wide brown land for me.

Oh! and cooking sheep on naked flames and eating until you just about (but not quite) explode, drinking excess fluids to counter act the heat and finish it off watching fireworks with 300,000 of your closest friends.

So is this a newer Holiday in Australia, just wondering why you would need ad's to promote it?

Just curious because we don't have ad's to promote our holidays here in the U.S.

It is a commercial for Lamb by the meat industry & they mixed it in with the holiday for fun.

Not being Australian Trax1 it would be hard for most foreigners to see the Ozzy humor.

cheerfully celebrated with a bbq about 4 hours of backyard cricket and a couple of beers :) it's a good life
