*WARNING*
Never have been in any relationships, simply observing from the sidelines
*WARNING*

I'd talk to her (texting and using the phone is plain wrong in a sincere situation which deserves personal attention) letting her know you prefer being friends as the thought of a breakup is overwhelming (isn't it?) and would destroy what you feel is a great friendship. In all reality, don't lie, bend, or twist the truth. It will always come back to bite you. Be clear, concise, considerate, and above all, be sincere.

Introduce her to your boyfriend?

Ouch....  :lol

Well, hopefully that works. I'll give it a shot, but God knows how weird it'll get if it goes wrong.  :bolt:

Even if it goes wrong, you've made it clear you have relational values. You understand relationships take commitment and that you simply don't have the ability to make a commitment to this particular relationship.

Just tell her you want to be friends easy as that.

Sure its going suck but either way its going to suck.

Im assuming that you have4 been friends for awhile, just say that I couldnt see us being more than friends as thats what we have been for a long time.

Couple of things.

Face to face...no text no e-mails.  She'll need to see the body language, hear the tone and realise the conviction.  No need to portay an over the top concern just be straight up front and casual.

First things first...who of your friends fancies this girl.  Who do you know anyone in your and hers social circles that would like to "go out" with her?  Can you get the guy to make a move on her before you set out to "let her down".  No big deal if you can't but it would help.

Do's
Casual as you like the argument you set out is 1) Friendship.  She's like one of the guys. 2) You are too young for a commitment to a relationship.  You’re out for the crack...shagtastic.  3) Besides your mate XXXX has a crush on her (hopefully your mate has made a move.)

Don’ts
Do not betray this girl’s confidence to your mates.  One of them will start talking about it and some nasty arsed girl will take great delight in informing your friend (this infatuated girl) what you have been saying about her.  Do not hug, kiss or shag this girl.  Do not ignore her the next time your out with friends.  Be cool.
