Title: Logitech Extreme 3D Pro-please post scaling pics
Post by: Peyton on January 29, 2010, 06:50:48 PM
Can anyone who uses a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro post pictures of their scaling?

This is not a discussion about what joystick is the best.  I use the L3DP with no problem.

I've searched the forums and now I use Mtnmn's or Crusty's scaling as a baseline, but I still get some bounce.

I've played around with scaling but end up messing it all up again.

So I am looking for users of Logitech Extreme 3D Pro to help.

Thanks in advance.

Peyton:

Tell me how to post a picture and I will!! lmao...Skuzzy taught me a couple of things on the phone...NEVER move USB ports once you have it the way you like, always boot the machine with the stick PLUGGED IN, and download the CLEAR CALIBRATION UTILITY from the Logitech web site.  PM me your email address and I will send the pics unless you can tell me how to attach them here.

I've been using that joystick for years. I have 6 systems, all equipped with that stick. I NEVER scale. Works for me.

Upload your picture to a free hosting site like PhotoBucket (http://photobucket.com/). After you upload it there it will have a list under the picture of options to use your picture. Click on the "IMG code" and it will copy the address for the picture, then just paste it into the reply box on the BBS

The Logitech 3D Pro seems to be more touchy than most sticks so the dead band should be played with and refined.

I have my rudder slightly dampened so I don't side-slip too much when I am rolling, as I have a problem with accidentally yawing as I roll. Other than that, I am set to the default.

It IS.

Mine is an excellent, responsive stick, but I often have to re-boot IL-2 a few times (checking the input diagram every time) until the bloody thing is displaying centered input. The comment upthread about not moving it from the USB port- and always booting with the stick already plugged in- sounds spot-on, because for some reason my 3D Pro is twitchy about being detected and autocalibrated.
