Title: radar for HQ and strat

For such important targets to not have radar that even a common V-Base does seems strange.

sorry cal but that would be too easy for the 163's to find the buffs.  let them waste their gas looking for them.  Last month I upped lancs and flew around in the sector next to the city and hq waited till the 2 cons disapeared when they run out of gas and did my run moved back east of the city as fast as I could while diving (to get more speed) then watched the 2 cons run out of gas again looking for me and I rtb safely noe  :D.  If they had dar they would've killed me in seconds.  remember it takes a buff about 1 hour to get to the city while 163 can go up to 30k in about 1 second  :uhoh.

I gotta agree with Semp on this one. I do strat runs all the time. Once you're at 25k just look for the big flying blob. Think about what is already at your advantage. If you see a huge dar bar slowly moving across the map, you can pretty much tell where they're going. You know that there's a 90% probability that they're going to be above 20k. On top of that, they're probably going to have to fly over radar on the way. So you know where we're at, where we're going, and how high we are.

Pilots have all the warning in the world that they are coming.  Deductive reasoning will give you an approximate flight path and location.  Any easier, and we might as well ask them to put down in a convenient location for strafing. :aok

Why do we have radar?  To promote fights in this "combat sim".  That's why fraidy cats hate it so much.
 
So you know where we're at, where we're going, and how high we are.

If they already know where you are then why the objection?

LOL, seems like it promotes more fights in the forums then in the game. But hey, if you need radar to find 75+ bombers flying in formation with 12 escorts, then by all means let's put it in.

When those bombers are at your strat they have already been showing dar within your territory for 30 min or so, you can't blame no radar around those targets for not knowing they were coming. It's not too hard to find them after that.
